General Notes

The golf course is integrated into the surrounding landscape of trees, rough and lakes, and this Par 3 course provides hole length variations of 90-120 metres. The site also features a putting green, a driving range and an approach area with a bunker. Excellent English speaking teachers are available for those wishing to learn or improve their golf skills. Visit the Guggenheim museum (Gehry) in Bilbao. The airport, designed by Santiago Calatrava, is an architectural gem. He also designed the footbridge that spans the river close to the Guggenheim.

Cancellation Policy: If the reservation is cancelled 7 days or more prior to arrival there is no charge from the hotel. If cancelled 7 days or less prior to arrival, the hotel will charge one nights stay. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay will be charged by the hotel. Inns en Route will charge 15 Euros per room booked if a confirmed reservation is subsequently cancelled but this fee may be applied to any future booking made within twelve months.

Palacio Urgoiti is a beautiful eleven acre estate located about twelve kilometres from Bilbao (a fifteen minute drive) and 4 km. to the airport. The 17th century palace has been skilfully rebuilt into a luxurious hotel. The building was taken down stone by stone from its original location and thirty years later, the family has fullfilled its dream of rebuilding it exactly to its original specifications. What is new is the 9 hole Pitch & Putt golf course in the garden. The property feels like a stately home, but with all the modern conveniences of a modern hotel. There are forty three guest bedrooms all of which have lovely views of the golf course. They are spacious and bright and are equipped with flat-screen TVs, wireless internet and ADSL. The rooms are tastefully decorated and are very comfortable. An indoor swimming pool and a gym are also available for guest use. Overlooking the golf course, the restaurant has a delightful ambiance and offers gastronomic Basque Country cuisine.
