In high season the hotel requires a 30% deposit of the total stay.
The eastern part of Cantabria has, besides numerous beaches and historic villages and resorts, great scenic beauty. Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Santona, are well worth a visit. Between these villages and the city are beautiful white-sand beaches surrounded by spectacular cliffs . Take a boat crossing the Bay of Santander, from Somo to Santender and the boats from Laredo to Santona. Bilbao city centre is about a 45 minute drive.
High Season
Deposit: 30% of Total Stay Amount
Cancellation Policy: In High Season: the hotel requires a 30% deposit of the total stay. Cancellations must be made with at least 30 days notice before the arrival date in which case there is a charge of 5% of the deposit. For cancellations between 30 and 7 days, the charge is a 50% of the deposit. For cancellations less than 7 days the charge is the full deposit. In case of no-show, 100% of complete stay charged. 15 euros per room booked will be charged by Inns of Spain on all reservations that are confirmed and then cancelled by the client. The Inns of Spain cancellation fee will be credited towards any future bookings within 12 months.
Mid Season
Deposit: No Deposit Required.

La Casona de San Pantaleon de Aras
 
La Casona de San Pantaleón de Aras is in a traditional house built in the 17th century. It has been recently restored and is now a delightful hotel that mixes its venerable age with modern comforts. The house overlooks the Clarin river, with a huge orchard as a garden. Located in the eastern part of Cantabria, in the heart of Aras Valley, surrounded by fields, rivers and mountains - an area of great environmental and cultural value. There are seven double, ensuite rooms, three of which are suites. All the rooms have full bathrooms, telephone, television, hairdryer and heating. The special rooms also have a video-TV set and a safe-deposit box. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable. You may choose whether you have a big bed or two twin beds in your room. There is a lovely entrance hall, dining room and guest living room with a big fireplace. Dinners may be taken at the inn (but it's a good idea to reserve in advance). There is a different special dish offered each day (3 course dinner) and the price of dinner is around 18 euros per person. The inn is about a half hour drive to the city centre in Santander and twenty minutes to Santander airport.

We loved the Casona. The owner Rosa was gracious and spoke English very well. She made us a wonderful meal the first night we were there and breakfasts were delicious. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. The building was exquisitely restored and the gardens were lovely. We would stay there again. The experience was great from top to bottom.
