Where
This is a region which encompasses two of Spain's autonomous communities - the Basque Country and Navarre - located along the northern reaches of Spain (bordered by the Bay of Biscay and France).
When
This region can be quite wet in the winter months (and during other seasons too), so travel during the late spring through early fall is recommended for the best weather.
Why
This region is the homeland to the Basque culture, and there are many interesting places to visit. Bilbao (the Basque Country's largest city) is worth exploring since it's architectural Renaissance. The coast offers many interesting towns and villages as well as some terrific beaches.
