Hotel Palou

Only three kilometres from the busy town and beautiful beaches of Sitges, is the family-run, low-key Hotel Palou. Once known as Villa Cuadras when it was the house of a South American Plantation owner in the nineteenth century, it has now been converted into a charming small hotel with ten ensuite guestrooms. During the restoration the original characteristics of the building were recreated as closely as possible, such as the stucco work on the ceilings, the wrought-iron work on the windows and balconies and the mosaic floor tiles. Each room is uniquely decorated in keeping with the epoch and each is ensuite. There are five double rooms and five double superior rooms equipped with television, telephone, Internet, air conditioning/central heating, minibar, bathtub or shower, hair dryer, welcome products. The superior doubles also have period bathtub, or jacuzzi, dressing room and terrace with views of the garden. There are several public spaces, balconies, gardens and a swimming pool. Enjoy breakfast in the dining room and, with prior reservation, an evening meal can be organized. There is a nearby restaurant within a minute's walk. Sant Pere de Ribes is not the prettiest town, but the inn is in a very quiet residential area and the swimming pool and garden are walled and pleasant. This is a convenient location to arrive from or get to Barcelona airport. There is an an airport bus (takes 20-30 minutes) that arrives close to the hotel, but a car is essential if you plan to explore the area.
