Hotel Cram

El Hotel Cram is located in the heart of Barcelona in the area of El Ensanche, only a five minutes walk from the most significant streets of the city, like la Rambla de Cataluña and el Paseo de Gracia. Opened in February of 2005, the hotel has been created in a building from the 19th century and is of great architectural interest. The hotel has been completed with the very latest in technology and design and has been recognized by the CGA. The interior is exceptional, with a fascinating contrast of light and shade, with natural and bright colours - from orange to maroon (inspired by the robes used by Tibetan monks). There is free wi-fi throughout, and flat screen television in the rooms. This is a city hotel with sixty seven ensuite rooms, two of which are beautiful suites on the sixth floor, with their own patio and big tub in the room. Some of the Executive Rooms on the fifth floor and the Privilege Rooms have their own terrace. There is an elegant cocktail bar Mareva at the entrance to the hotel and the special restaurant Gaig which was founded in 1869. With a Michelin star (since 1993) the cuisine is Catalonian and extraordinary. Note that the outdoor pool is currently closed. There are some interconnecting rooms for families but no extra beds are available at this hotel.
