On the island of Mallorca, an old stone manor house dating back to the 16th century has become a hotel of outstanding character and charm. It is surrounded by 100 hectares of rustic land a third of which are pine and oak woods. Part of the land is cultivated with grapes from which the owners make their own wine. This wonderful house was inherited by Gabriel Oliver, and is now run as a hotel by his sister Juana. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. The main building has two guestrooms, one of which is a suite. Other guestrooms are spacious apartments of up to 100 square meters featuring the best of the local architectural design and which are equipped with kitchenette, livingroom, bath, fireplace, telephone/modem, satellite-tv and terraces. Interiors are a blend of austere style and more colourful mallorquin traditions --plain white bedcovers, four poster beds and antique furniture (including teak tables from Java and fabrics made on the island.) A lovely outdoor swimming pool looks out to magnificent views over the woods. Nearby is an outside dining area and a garden where breakfast is served in summer. There is one double room, one suite and six apartments, one with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the rest with one bedroom and bathroom.
