Why |
The wall that encloses the town is one of the best kept, medieval walled enclosures in Europe. Its two and a half kilometre perimeter is marked by almost 2,500 crenellations, a hundred towers, six gates and three openings. Add the many Renaissance churches and palaces, it is a place to spend hours enjoying its special history. |
