Hotel Rodalquilar

Cabo de Gata National Park is one of Spain’s top nature reserves, with rich volcanic soil and a landscape of gnarled olives, cacti, aniseed and pita. The Hotel Rodalquilar is styled in Arabic and Andalusian style - a touch of the charming exotic with the simplicity of modern. There are sounds of running water everywhere throughout the property, with a garden full of palms, pitas and prickly pear trees, giving the inn a peaceful, fresh feel. The hotel is located in the surrounding area of an old gold mining village called Rodalquilar and close to the Playazo, which is one of the best beaches in the Natural Park Cabo de Gata-Nijar. The landscapes of the Natural Park Cabo de Gata has inspired the hotel’s indoor design. There are twenty four spacious ensuite rooms at the hotel and they are bright, warm and comfortable: simple shapes and lines become art. Headboards are created from pottery by Antonio Flores, pictures, sculptures and photographs of significant artists fill the rooms and the public spaces. The rooms are air conditioned and have television, radio, internet access, heating, safe, minibar, large wardrobes, comfortable beds, and complete bathrooms with hair dryer and magnifying mirror. There is a swimming pool in the garden and a sauna and jacuzzi for guest use. The Restaurant Alacena Azul has lovely views to the Playazo of Rodalquilar with an arcade and a big balcony: high mediterranean cuisine is served and high quality local products are used throughout.
