Els Frares is in the small traditional village of Quatretondeta, which dates back to Moorish times. and where olives and almonds are grown. Once an old village house, it was converted some 7 years ago into a pretty 9-roomed inn with a wonderful small restaurant for guests (described as a gastronomic oasis by a recent reviewer) . Half board is available (breakfast and 4 course dinner, drinks excluded) It has been recognized as a special place to stay by many international publications and is well known for its guided walking tours, horseriding classes and pure relaxation. Although it is located only one hours drive inland from the busy Costa Blanca coast, it is secluded and tranquil and a perfect base for a relaxing or an active holiday. The guided walking packages include all transportation (including to and from Alicante airport) , an experienced guide and half board accommodation. We are delighted that this is a rare NO SMOKING inn and restaurant. Please note that a 20% deposit is required upon reserving. This is an inn that is most suitable for those who enjoy walking and hiking in a spectacular natural environment - there are no other restaurants, bars or 'attractions' in the village. The inn has a small garden patio but no swimming pool. In the summer months the local village swimming pool is open.
