Inns en Route Inc. (
Visit Website) began offering small special hotels in Spain to clients in 1999. Our much-travelled founders were frustrated at the lack of a comprehensive website that showcased some of the wonderful, small and charming inns in the Spanish countryside and coasts that only Spaniards seemed to know about. Since that date we have included special places in the cities, several more sites across Europe and South America and two special groups of hotels – the Paradores in Spain and the Pousadas in Portugal. Our Service
Our reputation is only as good as the hotels which we represent and the efficient service we provide. We take great pride in personally reviewing every hotel on our site to ensure that you get an accurate summary of each property. We also monitor client feedback carefully to ensure that our hotels maintain their quality. In addition to our hotel listings, we provide a quick and efficient reservations service. We post
telephone numbers and email addresses so that you can take advantage of our knowledgable staff. We are a fully-insured and bonded travel agency and are members of the BBB-Online program as well as several other high-profile certification programs.

How do I use your service?
You can
phone or email us your specific questions, or you can browse our selection of hotels and enquire about those that interest you. You can also make use of our online chat service, available by clicking the 'chat online' icon in the top-right corner of each page.
How much does it cost to use your service?
There is no hidden or additional cost to using our service - you pay the same rate, or less, as if you telephoned the hotel direct.
How long does it take once I make an enquiry?
We try to answer with a few hours. When dealing with our smaller hotels it can take a little longer. If you have made an enquiry and haven't heard from us in 24 hours, please do contact us again (we/you may be affected by spam filters and in some cases we aren't able to contact you).
Do I need a voucher? Who do I pay?
We do not generally issue vouchers as you pay the hotel direct upon checkout.
Are there deposits? What if I cancel?
Most of our hotels do not require a deposit. Certain hotels may require a deposit during certain dates (Easter, Christmas and other holidays) or for long stays. In these cases, the hotel will charge your credit card at the time of reserving. Each hotel sets its own deposit/cancellation policy, which is displayed on its page. Cancellations are subject to this policy and will be charged by the hotel direct.
